“Ignore screen” was a setting that, when it was not checked, would prevent AutoPotion from throwing splash potions while the inventory, the chat, or any other menu screen was open. This behavior was added with the idea of bypassing anti-cheat plugins, but was later found to be ineffective, as server plugins can't tell when a player's inventory is open.

Furthermore, disabling “Ignore screen” could lead to unexpected deaths, for example if someone sneaked up on the user while their inventory was open. Nowadays, The “Ignore screen” checkbox has been completely removed and AutoPotion always behaves as if the checkbox was checked, throwing potions regardless of what screen or menu the user has open.
